The 9’4” Snapper an ideal inflatable SUP for kids

Stand-up paddleboarding is for everybody, not just the grown-ups, which is why we make the 9’4” Snapper, an inflatable SUP for kids up to 60kg/132lb.

The Snapper is the perfect way to get kids onto the water on their own board. Shorter and narrower than the Ride family, this highly durable board is made to the same rigorous standards as the rest of our range, but it’s dimensions make it easier for young riders to manoeuvre, whether on a river or catching the swell off a sandbar. In other words, it offers the authentic Red Paddle Co experience, just packaged for the next generation of paddler and is an ideal entry point into the world of SUP.

Featuring our indestructible iFins, a six point cargo tie down system and a Red embossed decked with diamond cut tail section for additional grip makes it packed full of innovation enabling your little ripper to get the most out of their time on the water.

All Terrain Backpack

Take your SUP wherever you go with Red Paddle Co’s backpack. At Red Paddle Co we pride ourselves on creating an authentic paddling experience.

This means all of our kit has to perform to an exceptional standard – whether that’s on the water or when you’re travelling and transporting your board paddle and pump.

No bag existed that met our demands – so we created our own. Our solution is the world’s best inflatable SUP bag. An innovative backpack designed to make taking your board to the furthest corners of the Earth as easy as possible.

It’s made using toughened materials that can cope with sun, sea, sand and abuse. It even has a foil lining to ensure your board stays cool in extreme temperatures.

When you’re not out exploring, it serves as the perfect storage unit too.

Titan Pump

The world’s first purpose built double chamber SUP pump – designed to halve the amount of time and effort it takes to inflate you board.

It comes with almost every board in the Red Paddle Co Range. Constant innovation has meant we have tested the absolute boundaries of inflation technology and as such are confident there is nothing quite like the Titan pump.

The Dual Cylinder system combined with the Hi Flo handle allows you to put volume into your board faster and reduces the effort required to reach a higher pressure.

A revolution in pumping technology! It now comes with attachments to enable you to inflate anything from boards, to kites, airbeds and boats!

iFin

The iFin System offers a high-performance while being ultra-durable.

No need for tools, spores or replacements, the iFin can take a beating and are super easy to re-shape if they get bent.

Accessories

Essential replacement parts and spares should you ever need them.

This includes a patch for the front and back of your board, (150mm x 150 mm), a valve tool and instructions all stored in a waterproof can.

The paddle is your engine and allows you to get the most from each and every outing on the water.

No matter what your budget, style or preference – there is a paddle for everyone and it’s important to consider which one you choose as it will make a big difference on performance.

Your paddle should be 6” taller than you so we have two adjuster types to make this easy for you. LeverLock’s patented technology allows you to make adjustments on the fly with one hand for maximum flexibility. The Camlock offers unrivalled grip to remove any movement or free play.

Once you add your chosen board to your basket, you get offered a choice of paddles to build your perfect package.

Leash

Not included in package: Add to your cart here.

Leashes Save Lives.

When heading out on the water it is important to always securely attach the board to you using a safe and reliable leash.

8′ Coiled Touring Leash- Reduces drag in the water and offers a more compact leash option.

Safety Note: If paddling in river currents we advise wearing only a Personal Floatation Device or a waist leash to avoid snagging on obstacles and debris.

Great all round board for our teenage son who loves having his own Red board. We bought the Snapper as it's so durable and the dimensions are perfect for a smaller person without losing any of the classic Red Paddle Co features. It's also big enough that he won't grow out of it any time soon.

I did a lot of SUP tour and surf research before settling on first, the RED Paddle Co and then the Whip. I chose the company for its reputation in design and quality, and the Whip for versatility; the board is all that and more.

I had an issue that was my fault and to my surprise the customer service was outstanding, in fact the best I have ever received in the business of sports equipment.

I have been using the Whip on the Gulf in southwest Florida and will be taking it home to Ontario for use on the lakes and rivers there. It is a solid board that catches the smaller waves so easily, it is so much fun to ride.

My next board will defiantly be a RED Paddle Co board, likely a touring for interior camping and I hope to manage it within the next 6 months.

Thanks to the best CS team around 🙂

    Red paddle the whip

Ok so to be honest I don't normally do the review thing, but this board is for me one of if not the best inflatable board I've used in the waves.
At last an I sup that you can actually bottom turn and surf down the line,
    I love it.
    pros
    Great shape
    Great fin
    Very comfortable bag
    Inflates in about 3 minutes
    Surprisingly stiff
    Bomb proof
    Easy to store and transport
And compared to any other Isup the red paddle the whip surfs very well.

    Cons
    ???

It actually turns! Last year I considered travelling with the hard board again for surfing, but then decided to trade in my 9,8" ride for the 2016 Whip. Never regretted it. Plenty of stability for a tall intermediate paddler like me and enough performance. Not like a carbon board, but close.
The 2016 US box doesn't fit most US box fins (it is not a real US box) and the fin attachment seems vulnarable. The 2017 FCS could be an improvement. Still very careful with sand on the battens and keeping the board out of the sun.”
In the surf, the board performed well for an iSUP. Typically, in regular swell that was overhead or less, the board was good on the drops and responsive on the turns.

For larger swell, the board could have benefited from a pulled rocker and interchangable side fins (or a 5-fin setup).

Great board and excellent after service!

The 8"10 Whip is an extremely durable board. Huge fan of the edges created by the RSS side batons and the new tech which allows for the board to be comfortably pumped up to 25psi. I found the board to be quite stable and also suitable for flatwater paddles.
